Dogs show affection differently, leaning in, staying close, asking for gentle pets and resting nearby. Most dogs don’t actually enjoy being hugged, they tolerate it. In reality many bites happen during “sweet” moments because the dog was uncomfortable and children don’t know how to read the dog’s body language.

Rosie is a great example that socialization doesn’t have to look one way! Daycare was too overwhelming for her, but she loves playing with her friend Daisy at @baddogfrida! We’re so grateful they provide such a safe and happy environment for all of our hounds to be themselves!
